Graham Markham
Graham Markham is Chief Development Officer of New Protein International, where he leads corporate development, strategic finance, major partnerships and stakeholder engagement for the development of Canada’s first soy protein manufacturing facility. His work spans capital strategy, commercial development, government relations and the structuring of complex financing and partnership arrangements to support large-scale industrial growth.
Graham brings nearly 20 years of experience across strategy, finance, corporate development and capital allocation, with a career spanning public companies, private investment platforms and growth-stage businesses. Before joining New Protein International, he held senior strategy and corporate development roles with Louis Dreyfus Company, La Mancha, Acacia Mining and Barrick Gold. In his career, he has advised on strategic growth, investment evaluation, mergers and acquisitions, and large-scale capital decisions.
Graham's active governance practice includes serving on the Board of Protein Industries Canada as Governance & Nominating Committee Chair, having previously served on its Finance & Audit Committee. He also serves on the Finance & Audit Committee of the national sports organization Canada Snowboard.
Graham is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds an MBA from London Business School, where he graduated with Distinction. He also completed the Protein Industries Canada Accelerate Leadership Program with the Richard Ivey School of Business.
